Programmes
Learning is a process acquired through experiences in the environment. In our nursery, we provide children with an engaging atmosphere that nurtures their desire to explore. Both the environment and the materials are designed to motivate children to work and investigate independently, enabling them to learn autonomously. At Montessori Boadilla, we offer the following programs (the age is a guideline and depends on each child's development):
Nido
(4 to 18 months)
The Nido is an extension of the home, a place for the baby to feel safe, cared for, and respected.
It's a space where time stands still, designed to encourage free movement, which is key to our children's development in the early stages of life.
Autonomous activity is the foundation, supported by the bond and connection with the caregivers. This makes the child feel self-assured, competent, and cared for in their individuality, enabling them to develop self-confidence growing in harmony.
"A child who has the freedom and opportunity to manipulate and use his or her hand in a logical way, with consequences and using real objects, develops a strong personality."
M. Montessori
Infant Community
(18 to 36 months)
The Infant Community environment accommodates walking children who already have some control of movement, which is generally observed around 16-20 months.
Infant Community is a space of order and simplicity where every detail is arranged to respect the pace of learning and the needs of each child during sensitive periods.
Everything is designed to suit their needs. The activities are aimed at providing a real purpose to help them understand their near surroundings and achieve meaningful learning. This is based on the root of respect—for themselves, for others, and for the environment—and confidence in the learning capacity of each of our students.
